Quicktime, installation and use

A Virtual Tour is available on this website. It uses Apple Quicktime.

The Virtual Tour takes you on a tour of the Palaces used by Her Majesty the Queen. The State of the Netherlands has put these palaces at the Queen’s disposal. They also include the Royal Archives and the Royal Stables.

Plug-in

In order to see the panoramas, you will need Apple QuickTime. You can download and install this software from Apple’s website.

How does QuickTime VR work?

Moving and zooming in

You can use the mouse (click and drag) to rotate the panoramas. You can zoom in on a detail by using the shift key. Zoom out again by using the ctrl key.

Hotspots

There are hotspots within the panoramas. When you move your cursor over one, it will change into a hand with a globe symbol. You can use these hotspots to navigate the various panoramas, or you can zoom in on certain details in the panorama.

Navigation bar

At the bottom edge of the panoramas and images, you will find QuickTime’s navigation bar. You can zoom in and out by clicking on ‘+’ or ‘-’. By clicking on the question mark, you can make all the hotspots in the panorama visible.
