Eikenhorst

Eikenhorst was built between 1985 and 1987 for Princess Christina, Queen Beatrix’s youngest sister.

Eikenhorst on De Horsten estate in Wassenaar is the home of the Prince of Orange, Princess Máxima, Princess Catharina-Amalia and Princess Alexia.

The architect J. Baron van Asbeck was also responsible for the restoration of Het Loo Palace. The inspiration for Eikenhorst was a 17th-century farmhouse of the same name that once stood not far from the site of the present villa. Princess Christina’s family lived at Eikenhorst until 1996. Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Máxima have lived there since 2003.
