The building
Het Loo House was designed by the Amsterdam architect Maarten Evelein and built in the early 1970s.
The Princess and Mr Van Vollenhoven moved there in 1975. A brick and timber construction, it combines a home, offices and a reception area. It looks out onto an arboretum planted by order of King Willem III (1817-1890).
