Transitional arrangements under the Membership of the Royal House Act

On the basis of the transitional arrangement, Princess Margriet, her husband and her sons Prince Maurits and Prince Bernhard and their wives retain their membership of the Royal House until they lose their constitutional right to succeed to the throne. In other words: when they are no longer related to the monarch in the third degree of consanguinity. This will apply to Prince Maurits and Prince Bernhard and their wives once the Prince of Orange succeeds his mother, and to Princess Margriet and her husband once the Prince of Orange is, in turn, succeeded (most probably by his eldest child).
