Queen's Office

The Queen’s Office forms the link between the head of state and her ministers. The Office arranges meetings between the Queen and the ministers and state secretaries. It also deals with requests from ordinary citizens.

The Office presents the Queen with the government documents that require her signature, like Royal Decrees, laws and treaties, This is done even when she is out of the country since, by law, she must sign all such documents personally. The Office keeps the originals on file.

The Office arranges, through the Gouvernment Information Service, for the Queen's instructions to politicians charged with forming a government. The Queen's Office is located at 3, Korte Vijverberg in The Hague.
